We know we always say this, but 2012 promises to be bigger and even better than ever. We are driving to the Ukraine via no less than 14 amazing countries.

For the first time we put it to the vote, and this is the route our dumball elders voted for. As well as driving the length of Italy, zipping through Albania, and hitting the Carpathian mountains in Romania, we are visting Moldova and Ukraine for the first time ever.

Your team entrance fee covers all your accommodation and ferries for the 9 days and nights of the event (Friday PM to the following Sunday AM) and loads of other stuff - in fact just about everything you need for the week.

You just buy a vehicle and book your flight home and you really are ready to dumball. The dumball is run by volunteers and certainly is not for profit. Every bit of your money is spent on getting the best accommodation and having the best time en route. That's what makes us the best banger rally.

The 2010 event kicked off with a huge fundraising party and opening parade on Brighton sea front- with live music from the Cheeky Girls to get things warmed up (yes, the Cheeky Girls). Then we drove through: France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece...and it all ended with a magnificent awards ceremony in Sicily.
